His son Dr. Philip H. Henderson joined the clinic
in 1925 and was later joined by his son Dr. Philip H. Henderson,
Jr. in 1953. The senior Henderson became ill and died in 1962.
The modern OB/GYN clinic started in 1965 when Dr. Henderson,
Jr. and Dr. William Blackstone joined the practice. They added
Dr. James Reisner in 1967 and a year later moved to the present
clinic location at 790-14th Avenue in Longview. Dr. Furm Duncan,
Jr. joined the group in 1974 and Dr. Philip H. Henderson, III
in 1980.
Dr. William Blackstone died in 1983 and the clinic was left
with four partners. In 1986 Dr. Aris Gredzens joined the practice
followed by Dr. Douglas Whelan in 1989. Dr. Duncan relocated
to Ontario, Oregon in 1994.
After Dr. P. H. Henderson, Jr. retired in 1995, Dr. Rebecca
Kubitz joined Lower Columbia Women’s Clinic followed
in 1998 by Dr. Homayoun Saraf.
In 2000, Dr. James Reisner and Dr. Rebecca Kubitz retired,
leaving four remaining partners.
After 80+ years, through four generations and thousands of
babies, Lower Columbia Women’s Clinic strives to provide
personal and professional care. We plan to continue providing
the most up to date obstetrical and gynecological healthcare
to all women in our area.
